Guided tour | Ingunn Fjóla about Hörður’s forms and colors

Gerðarsafn Art Museum

Ingunn Fjóla Ingþórsdóttir, artist, guides guests through the exhibition Hörður from the perspective of color and form theory.

The exhibition presents works by Hörður that reflect his approach to form and color theory from 1955–1978. Within his formal exploration one can sense the space where the architect and the poet intertwine, where the researcher and the creator meet in a holistic idea about the essence of all art.

Ingunn Fjóla graduated with an M.A. in Fine Art from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2017. She completed a B.A. in Fine Art from the same school in 2007, having previously earned a B.A. in Art History from Aarhus University. Her work has been exhibited widely in museums and galleries, including solo exhibitions at the LÁ Art Museum, the National Gallery of Iceland, Hafnarborg, and the Cuxhavener Kunstverein. She has participated in the international biennial Prague Biennale, as well as numerous group exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. Throughout her career, Ingunn Fjóla has received various grants and recognitions.

Admission is free and everyone is warmly welcome.
