Welcome to a Drawing Workshop with Artist Helga Páley Friðþjófsdóttir on Wednesday, 11th of November, from 12:15–13:00.
Free admission!
In this workshop, we will draw inspiration from the works of Valgerður Briem and explore how everyday moments, objects, and details can become material for art. Participants will work with their own experiences and create drawings in which the everyday is given new meaning through free drawing and play.
Helga Páley (b. 1987) lives and works in Reykjavík. She primarily makes paintings using mixed media, alongside drawings on paper. Her works are built up in layers and often undergo significant transformations throughout the creative process, with intuition and experimentation guiding the work forward.
