In the exhibition Ordinary Places, \u00cdvars Brynj\u00f3lfsson’s photographs are in conversation with the works of Emma Hei\u00f0arsd\u00f3ttir, Haraldur J\u00f3nsson, Joe Keys and Tine Bek; art that springs from the human being’s perception of the environment. The artists have in common that they pay the utmost attention to the everyday and bend the ordinary, often just by pointing to it. The works bear witness to every day, from which the artist has carved out a small fragment and filled his pockets to be able to show us the treasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The curators are Hallger\u00f0ur Hallgr\u00edmsd\u00f3ttir and Brynja Sveinsd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
