All are welcome to attend an art workshop with Helga P\u00e1ley Fri\u00f0\u00fej\u00f3fsd\u00f3ttir Saturday 7th September at 2 p.m. Helga P\u00e1ley artist drew the pictures in the children’s book, The World of Ger\u00f0ur Helgad\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Helga P\u00e1ley Fri\u00f0\u00fej\u00f3fsd\u00f3ttir (b. 1987) lives and works in Reykjav\u00edk. She graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2011. After graduating, Helga was the director of the 2012 installment of the \u00c6ringur art festival, which took place in Rif that year. From 2013 to 2015, Helga was part of the Kunstschlager Group and took part in running a gallery at Rau\u00f0ar\u00e1rst\u00edgur 1 and later in the Reykjav\u00edk Art Museum. In recent years, Helga has exhibited in many places, including the Reykjanesb\u00e6r Art Museum, \u00c1smundarsalur and the Svalbardseyri Museum. Drawing has been close to her heart for a long time, and it plays a big role in her artistic creation. Through drawing, she captures ideas on paper and gives them time to ferment before transferring them to canvas or a three-dimensional form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
