In recent years or since Guðný graduated from her ceramic studies at Reykjavík School of Visual Arts she has worked on diverse pieces in clay, both in her teachings and her own artistic expression. Guðný has taken her time to get to know the clay as a medium and now works with “wild clay” that she harvests right from the ground in the Westfjords. In her art you can see both curiosity and a search for a surprise pattern, random shapes and reputation but this search is and has been the main driving force in Guðný´s art.
