Hlynur Steinsson, sérfræðingur safnsins, leiðir fólk um safngeymsluna í litlum hópum og gefur innsýn í ferlið sem á sér stað áður en safngripur verður hluti af sýningu.

On the occasion of International Museum Day, the Nature Museum invites guests to go behind the scenes and visit the museum’s storage facilities. This is a unique opportunity to explore collection items that are not normally on display and to learn about their preservation.
Hlynur Steinsson, a specialist at the museum, will guide visitors through the storage area in small groups and provide insight into the process that takes place before an object becomes part of an exhibition.
