Kópavogur winter festival was held 3. 3.-4. february and the festival’s events were very well attended despite the weather. During this year’s winter festival, i.a. offered salsa music in Salurinn with Los Bomboneros, Kópavog’s school band and Kraftgalla, silent disco, balloon workshop and book talk with Sigríða Hagalín and Jóni Kalman at Kópavog’s library, science workshop at HÍ and TYKJÓ’s spectacle at Natural History Museum, solar print workshop and song guide at Gerðarsafn and much more. The highlight of the festival was undoubtedly the projection of Þóranna Björnsdóttir’s light artwork on the east side of Kópavogur Church. In the video work Tillit, Þóranna worked from new footage of the eyes and gaze of almost a hundred Kópavogur residents.
