The siblings grew up in Vesturbær Kópavogur, but Sigrún lived for a while in Denmark. Now she is back on her childhood paths. She is currently opening a restaurant in the heart of Kópavogur that offers Danish pastries.

In Gerðarsafn, a cafe has usually been run, but the focus at Krónikan will be on danish smörre bröd, small dishes and light wine. The sibling says that the coffee machine will of course be in its place. Magnús Anton, who previously worked as a chef at the restaurant Kastrup, will be in the kitchen. The restaurant will be open from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm.

Ásdís Kristjánsdóttir, mayor of Kópavogur, says it is a great addition to have a restaurant in Gerðarsafn. “The chronicle will be a great addition to the activities of the cultural houses, which I am convinced that the townspeople and others will welcome.” The official opening ceremony will be held in September.
