„Jafn aðgengi” (“Equal Access”) is a project by W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland, created by women for women, to strengthen knowledge, participation, and equality among women of foreign origin living in Iceland. It is funded by the Velferðar- og mannréttindaráð Kópavogs and hosted by Bókasafn Kópavogs.
This second event in the “Jafnt aðgengi – Equal Access” series brings together experts and women from the community for a panel discussion on inclusion, social participation, and empowerment.
The conversation will be moderated by Sanna Arthur, Vice-Chair of W.O.M.E.N., and will feature four distinguished panelists:
- Björg Baldursdóttir, Chair of the Welfare and Human Rights Committee of Kópavogur
- Fida Abu Libdeh, CEO of GeoSilica Iceland and Deputy of Parliament
- Sara McMahon, Head of Communications at UN Women Iceland
- Marvi Gil, Deputy Manager of Forensic Outpatient Services at Landspítali and a W.O.M.E.N. volunteer
The panel discussion will last approximately one hour, followed by a Q&A session and refreshments.

Hlutverk W.O.M.E.N er að vinna að jafnrétti og jafnri stöðu kvenna af erlendum uppruna á öllum sviðum þjóðlífsins. The role of W.O.M.E.N is to work towards equality and equal status for women of foreign origin in all areas of public life.
