Forty Senses (Fjörutíu skynfæri) is the title of the IUA graduation exhibition of students in design and architecture 2020.
The show features projects by students, graduating from the Department of Design and Architecture at the Iceland University of the Arts in June 2020. The projects are the final output from a three-year study process, expressing students’ personal approach to various subjects in contexts such as social reality, emotional life, environmental issues, the uncertainty and certainty in the future. All of the projects attest to the creative approach and problem solving of young designers and students of architecture and are based on collaboration and cooperation, emotions, knowledge, craftiness and at least forty different sense perceptions, for instance; hunger, thirst, balance, itch, touch, heartbeat, tremor, movement and spatial perception.
Curators are Anna María Bogadóttir, Atli Bollason, Eva María Árnadóttir and Ólöf Rut Stefánsdóttir.
Gerðarsafn Kópavogur Art Museum is open everyday from 10 – 17.
Free admission.
