Katrina Olsen

Katrina Olsen is a Faroese saxophonist and singer-songwriter. She graduated from the Faroese Music High School in 2019 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts (Music) from Fróskaparsetur Føroya in 2022.
After teaching music for a year—working with singing, piano, clarinet, saxophone, and recorder in schools across the Faroe Islands—she chose to pursue a second bachelor’s degree in music education at Listaháskóli Íslands.
During her studies at LHÍ, her main focus has been jazz performance and pedagogy. She currently sings in an a cappella barbershop trio called SWAY and performs in the duo Katari with Ari Johannesen.
